Several important issues about living organ donation were discussed. There was an agreement that preemptive and especially living pre-emptive transplantation is the optimal treatment for end-stage renal failure patients. It was stressed that one of the most important factor in living kidney donation is information given to the patient and the patient’s family about the possibility of pre-emptive renal transplantation.
