Surrogate Markers of Chronic Allograft Nephropathy

Abstract

Kidney transplant programs have made considerable progress regarding the effective management of acute rejection episodes and infectious complications. During the last decade the I-year graft survivalhas improved accordingly. Although some improvement has been reported ofthe long-term outcome [1], the chronic decline of function remains a serious clinical problem.
