Abstract

In renal transplantation, late graft dysfunction remains the main cause of graft loss despite better management of immunosuppressive therapy and infectious complications [1,2].One of the goals in organ transplantation is therefore to improve long-term outcome and to define post-transplantation markers that can be used as surrogate markers in intervention trials.
