Mechanisms of allorecognition and organ transplant rejection.

Abstract
Recognition of mismatched (foreign) alloantigens on the graft by the recipients T cells initiates allograft rejection. This process is mediated by two mayor mechanisms--direct and indirect allorecognition. Both process are being discussed.
