Abstract
Background: National Transplant Registry in Poland is administered by Polish
Transplant Coordinating Centre POLTRANSPLANT and it operates on the basis of: Transplantation Act on storage and transplantation of cells, tissues and organs dated by July 1st, 2005 and Regulation of Health Minister in the way of leading a national registry of recipients dated April 25th, 2006. The aim of Registry is to monitor organ transplantation which had been performed in the past. The Registry accumulates data concerning graft and recipient's survival in the period of 3 and 12 months after transplantation and every 12 months until the loss of the graft and/or recipient's death.
Material/Methods: Graft and recipients' survival of transplants performed between January 1st 2004 and September 30st 2008.
