Ethical Issues on Organ Donation, Allocation and Transplantation
Bogdan MichalowiczAnn Transplant 2002; 7(4): 13-13 :: ID: 496255
Abstract
The first topic discussed by the panelists was the communication between ethicists and medical professionals in order to elaborate a system of ethical assessment related to all transplantation activities. The necessity of such system is undisputable. Mutual consultation requires a common language, fully
understandable for both parties. The disputants agreed, that bioethicists as well as medical professionals have to increase their knowledge of the others’ discipline and professional language. Teaching of ethics must play an important role in medical education.
